Congratulations to Haddie Moore, Sloane Scanlan, Ada Goettl, and E Salonek for being part of the championship team at the 36th annual Minnesota Selects Hockey Festival.
The Caps were well represented by these 2011 girls as well as 2014 Lucas Peine, 2013 Lauren Woessner, and 2010 Desi Bustos.
Every year since 1988, the non-profit Minnesota Selects has held a three-day festival comprised of 680 youth hockey players throughout the entire state. There are both boys and girls divisions with the main focus being that of honoring players not only for their hockey ability, but also for their academic achievements. Wow! What a way to finish up a great season of hockey. The Caps 8U B Blue had a blast at the end of season jamboree with Mounds View and Stillwater at the Super Rink. Plus, Vivianne won the shootout competition. There's a lot of nice hardware in this picture. Way to go, 8U B Blue!
We're excited to offer our belated congratulations to the Caps Squirt B2 Red team. They brought home the Fargo Squirt International Tournament consolation championship hardware back in February. Congratulations!
Hearty congratulations go out to our MVI-STP 15U A, 15U B Blue, 15U B Green, Caps Peewee A, and Bantam AA teams on their Region tourneys. They all brought their competitive spirit and we are so proud of them. Stick taps all around. An extra shout out to those players and families that played their final association games. Thank you. Congratulations to the Peewee A team who is advancing to Regions this weekend. Their ticket was punched with a convincing 5-1 victory over White Bear Lake. They continued their D2 tourney with a 2nd place match up against MVI where they battled hard and lost a tough one 3-2 in OT.
Show this team some love. Head on up to Forest Lake Friday afternoon to see them in action against Champlin Park as they get their Region Tournament bracket started. Good luck and play hard!
The Squirt A team had a great time at the famous Fargo Squirt International Tourney outscoring their opponents 33-22. After dropping the first game to a tough Grand Rapids, MN team, they cruised to victory over Sartell and Spring Lake Park, scoring double digits in each game. They went on to beat Roseau in their third place game to win a trophy and medals. Along with all the famous pin trading that surely took place, these kids came back with quite a bit of hardware. Congratulations to the team, team staff, and super fans that traveled for this great experience. Roll, Caps!

The Bantam AA team and their fans put the pedal to the metal and got the victory against Roseville in the D2 playoffs. After going down 1-0 in the first period, this team roared back with 3 straight goals. Each team then scored in the final minute of the game to keep the crowd in a frenzy. Caps win 4-2 and punch their ticket to Regions.
Next up: another D2 playoff battle vs White Bear Lake. Join the other super fans at St. Croix Rec on Saturday at 12:30PM for some great hockey.

Huge props to the 10U B1 team on a great season. Did you know the team made the championship game in every tournament they played this season? The also had a mid-season push going 2 straight months without a district loss.
Even more impressive is how great the players and families were. Every player was coachable and everyone improved as the season went on. And they always stuck together. Coach Mike said this team "played the right way - as a team, with respect, and having fun." What a great representation of St. Paul hockey. Congrats!
